OH my heck I absolutely hate gift cards. If you just wanted to give someone money then just do it. I know you are trying to be nice about the holidy or birthday but this is just sad. All the companies just want to earn an extra on the giftcard.
I am sick of giftcards, once you get it and it is cheap then you have to throw cash on top of it just to actually enjoy, the giftcard to the fullest. Everytime I get a giftcard with like 15$ bucks on it. I am like "Hey thanks." But in my mind I am like, "Dang now I have to throw cash on top of what I want." I am sick of giftcards people make more money of of them.
I know your trying to be nice about it. But can't you just give money instead. You could go anywhere to spend money. But a giftcard no! They are ok in some cases, but if you don't ever use them they will feel bad about themselves about how they went to all the trouble to get it. Honestly you don't have to be creative about giving someone something. If you don't know what to give someone, just give them money. I do that all the time to people.
