Chapter 20 ~ Happy Birthday Dana

Genesis P.O.V

"How does this look?!" I asked walking out in the fifth outfit I've tried on so far. Dalton groaned

"Shouldn't this be Sarah's job?! Isn't this what girls do?" Dalton said rolling his eyes. I sighed

"I already told you Dalton! She's out with Cole buying Dana's birthday gift" I said crossing my arms over my chest. Dalton sighed

"You look nice" He said with a nod. I rolled my eyes

"That's what you said about the other outfits" I said sitting down on my bed. Dalton sighed standing up from the chair  he was sitting on and walking over to my closet. I furrowed my eyebrows

"What are you doing?" I said confused. Dalton turned to look at me

"I'm gonna make Dana regret ever going with blondie instead of with you" He said with a smirk. I giggled causing him to smile. He pretty much threw everything I had in my closet out until he pulled out an outfit. 

"This..This is gonna drive Dana insane!!" He said with a smirk. I looked down crossing my arms over my chest.

"Isn't that...I don't know...too over the top?!" I said biting my lip. Dalton rolled his eyes

"Gen...we're supposed to dress fancy!" Dalton said with a chuckle.

"Yeah but...I mean...I don't wanna out dress anyone" I said with a frown. I knew that everyone was supposed to dress fancy and all but...I think this dress is too much.

"Gen, this is perfect!!" Dalton said with a nod. I eyed his outfit, he wore a nice fancy black shirt with his skinny jeans and black vans...I guess he looked fancy...I sighed hoping he was right. 

"F-fine" I said biting my lip. Dalton smiled wide.

"Great!!!" He said causing me to giggle "Now go put it on! We gotta be there in an hour!" Dalton said handing me the outfit. I nodded grabbing the outfit and walking to my bathroom to put it on. I stared at myself in the mirror..I felt awkward. I don't normally wear heels but...maybe Dalton is right...maybe I should show Dana what he's missing! I walked over to the door placing my hand on the doorknob ready to walk out when I froze..I looked back into the mirror...who am I kidding..I'll never be as pretty as Nicole, she's blonde and has amazing blue eyes..Then there's me, brown hair and brown eyes...I can see why he chose her..she's beautiful. 

"How you doing Gen?" Dalton asked from the other side of the door. I sighed opening the door slowly

"Dalton maybe this isn't such a good idea" I mumbled looking down. I was waiting for him to say something but he stayed silent. I looked up confused. He was staring at me with wide eyes.

"D-Dalton?" I said crossing my arms over my chest. He shook his head as if he was snapping out of a trance. 

"Genesis...you look.." He said eyeing me up and down. "Absolutely beautiful" He said looking at me. I blushed. "Dana is not gonna be able to keep his hands off of you!!" He said smirking. I shook my head

"He's not ..." I mumbled. "Have you seen Nicole?! She's beautiful! No wonder he likes her....I'll never be as pretty as her" I said walking into my room and sitting on my bed. Dalton walked over and sat next to me. 

"Don't talk like that!" Dalton said shaking his head. "Dana is blind if he thinks that Nicole is prettier than you" he added. I sighed looking down. "Genesis, I've known you for what feels like forever..and in that time I've maybe seen you wear make up, two or three times..and honestly, you don't need make up to make yourself look pretty..you have natural beauty..something that Nicole doesn't have! Have you seen the shit load of make up she has on all the time?! Any guy would be lucky to have you! Dana's just being an idiot at the moment" Dalton said smiling. I looked up smiling slightly
