Wanderlust
by sloanranger
I have a gypsy heart - I know that now is true
but it seems I cannot make a start, unless it be with you.
I've traveled near and far and would like to once again
and use the great North star to find my forests' glens.
To traipse on meadows green and hillsides filled with gold,
to find my woodland scenes, waters clear and cold.
To lie upon soft mosses and dream of what's to be
and whisper to the night, "Bring him soon, to me."
I'll wait for you a while but cannot wait much longer -
I think of you and smile...
but my wanderlust grows stronger.
