And with that I directly blushed. After a long argument I was finally able to convince grandma to let me get a job. I searched for hours and hours, looking through the windows of restaurants and small cafes, but nothing. I was about to give up when I read at the window of a small restaurant a paper that said " waitress needed". I rushed inside and and applied for the job. The manager looked at me and I could feel that I was being judged. After like five minutes of useless staring he said
You're hired
I seriously couldn't believe it! I jumped with excitement and thanked him repeatedly, and rushed to tell my grandmother, but a hand on my shoulder stopped me
Wait you start at 4 since you have school you will be taking shifts 10$ an hour, is that enough? Said the manager
Yes! : I replied and ran back home
