Lauren wasn't that pleased about his comment or the news he has gotten one of the most miserable exam results in class.

"Who is worse than you... oh that must be Hansol," she groaned. "Seven failures and two passed exams, that doesn't surprise me much," she shook her head.

Jae and Taeil giggled they loved to see Yuta's dark face when his girlfriend was telling him how stupid he and his friends are.

"Let me see it, you probably read the wrong line," said Yuta pushing her away in a not so gentle way stepping towards the board.

"Fow 15 is Taeil, just so you know," said Jae and Lauren leaned closer to the paper when her cheeks became rosy again.

"Wow," she muttered. "Simply wow."

Yuta was starting at his own grades, he seemed even more crushed than before.

"If Hansol would be your boyfriend, you could be upset, seven failures," muttered Yuta while he checked the grades down to number 24 and Jae's heart started to hammer loudly.

"Afe you checking Taeyong's gfades fof him?" he asked.

"Not your business loser," said Yuta leaning over the last line.

"Taeyong took the exam?" Lauren turned to Yuta. "But he wasn't here?"

"Yes, he might have," Yuta was still focusing on row 24 comparing it with his own grades.

Jae moved closer looking over Yuta's hand and was relieved there wasn't any failure in between the marks.

Similar to Yuta Taeyong had barely passed music theory, maths and practical vocal, but he got decent grades in drama, literature, piano and the highest grade in dance, as expected.

"Yes, that was a waist of time," muttered Yuta turning around grabbing Lauren's hand.

He forced her down the corridor and Jae heard how she started to complain at his miserable efforts on the way out of school.

Jae glanced at Taeil.

"At least we know Taeyong had passed," muttered Taeil but in this moment Yuta came back running to them.

"Hey Jae, forgot to tell ya, watch the 'After 9 show' on Channel 8 on Saturday," said Yuta when Jae glanced from him to Taeil.

"Why is it? Do you have an appeafence?" asked Jae jokingly.

"No, someone else does," Yuta's eyes met Jae's and his stomach twisted again. "So bye losers," Yuta ran out of the corridor down the stairs and Jae was still shocked about all the news. He has only come to see his grades.

It was Wednesday evening, another warm pretty day and Jae heard Taeil and his sister laughing loudly from the garden. Taeil's mum was taking care of the roses but instead of watering them Taeil took the garden hose and was chasing his sister down the lawn while she was squeaking loudly.

Jae laughed watching them through the living room window. Taeil's sister outran him grabbed a bucket with rainwater and spilled it over him causing their mum to shout at them so Jae giggled jumping on the couch. He had a quite good mood after Yuta's miserable exam efforts and his own great grades. He wished his mum would see this, but he was happy his father has called to ask him about his results and congratulated. He didn't like to think about his parents though.

Jae glanced at the coffee table wishing to have something to focus on. He leafed through the newspapers when he found a bunch of letters that probably came this morning and wasn't opened yet. He saw the water and electricity bill and a postcard for Mrs. Moon from Indonesia. He even felt bad looking through the letters but one might be for him from the university so he was browsing them impatiently until he read his own name on a samll white envelope.

"Jung Jaehyun," he read loud.

Who could write to him? Jae glanced at the scruffy handwriting for a good minute or so before realizing it was Taeyong's.

There was no address or anything at the back of the envelope and Jae shivered tearing it apart. There was a simple white paper inside filled with the same handwriting.

Jae trembled when he leaned on the couch and started to read.

Dare Jae

I guss I'm really the worst boyfriend ever which I'm deeply sorry for. I thought about calling and explaining but I couldn't do it so I wrote a letter. You probably know by now that I'm better in written words then spoken ones. I'm sorry. I have embarrassed myself in front of you when I had called back then in May. It still hurts me to think how bad you must think about me afterwards.

I did a lot of things I'm not proud or happy of, including the night when I had left you on Taeil's driveway. When I'm thinking about it now I'm realizing how insanely stupid I was. What was I afraid of, letting you into my flat because we would end up in bed. Right now after we had done it my fears from back then seem ridiculous, it hasn't changed a thing between us, but I thought I would hurt you as you were so innocent and unique.

I didn't want to lose my Jae, the clumsy, funny, childish and shy one I love, and I feared it will change you into a man you have already become a long time ago. Actually I admire you because you're strong, way stronger than me. You're still fighting for everything, your life, your dream, your parents and me, when I'm giving in on things so easily.

If it hasn't been for you fighting for us we wouldn't have been together at all, the coward I am I would probably have never spoken to you again after our first kiss. So thank you for being courageous and strong, and pulling me back whenever I'm trying to run and hide.

I also want to congratulate you on the exams, you probably have your results when you're reading this letter, and I know you did outstanding because you're so smart.

Also if it's not too late I want to offer you to move in with me when I come back from the tour, only if you like, you can consider it. I'm quite unpleasant to live with and very phobic, so if you don't mind constant nagging, cleaning and the smell of air fresheners please move in ;)

There is also this one think I want to ask you to do, please watch the 'After 9 show' on Channel 8 on Saturday the 25th of June at 9 p.m. It's very important for me and I hope the letter will reach you till this date, if not I'm asking Yuta to let you know.

all the love in the world

love you

Your "Mine"

Jae folded the letter then glanced out of the window where Taeil's sister was chasing her brother with the garden hose all the way around the fence.
