Cory's pov
I woke up to it being extremely quiet. Usually leas already up singing or making breakfast. I looked to my left to see an empty bed.
"Lea?" I called out.
Silence
"Lea!"
Still nothing.
I could slowly hear weeping coming from downstairs once I let the quietness settle.
I ran down the stairs to see Lea over the kitchen sink with a knife over her wrist, blood already beading on top of her porcelain skin.
"Lea! Stop!" I shouted
"No." She said quietly. "Let me go."
I ran over to her and tried to grab the knife.
She slid it across her skin once more.
"Just let me die Cory I'm not happy with myself just let me go!"
She then pressed the knife against her chest. I could feel tears coming down my face in streams.
"Lea. Lea please don't do this! I need you here, your the only reason I came out of hiding, your my air and oxygen. Please. Don't. Leave. Me."
Her breathing calmed down and I grabbed the knife from her hands before she could hurt herself again.
We made eye contact and she collapsed into my arms. I took her wrist and studied them. Her cuts from this morning were fresher but I had never noticed the scars of passed scars before.
"Cory?" She squeaked.
I looked at her.
"I'm so sorry!" She cried out before burrowing herself into my chest.
I lifted her up and carried her to the couch.
"Lee?"
She nodded
"If I didn't come downstairs would you have killed yourself?"
She was still for a moment then slowly lifted her head looked at me and nodded.
Leas pov
I cloud see the pain in his eyes. When I nodded my head he just broke.
He buried his head into my shoulder and sobbed.
"Why! Why would you do this to yourself!?" I love you so much please don't leave."
It broke my heart to see him like this. I just couldn't handle it anymore. Cory didn't know that in every magazine I see it says stuff about me getting a nose job or how I need to lose weight, some just say how it would be better if I was just dead. I just couldn't tell Cory he would be so upset if people were like that especially to me.
"Cory?" I squeaked.
He looked up at me with sad eyes.
I reached down to a magazine that had something about me in it and showed it to Cory. More tears popped into his eyes as he read. I tried to take the paper away from him but he threw it away before I had the chance.
"Lea listen closely when j tell you this. I don't care what anyone ever says about you, as far as I'm concerned your the hottest fricken girl I've ever laid eyes on. Your amazingly talented, kind, smart, funny, and on top of all of that I love you so fricken much. So please promise me that you will never ever again even think about killing yourself."
I nodded my head and squeaked out a yes.
