Zahara did come that frightening day. From then on I avoided people, I didn't trust them. What would they say about my Padar? That was the question I asked myself when I tried to make new friends.
The truth is that because of the single story that people had heard, I was doomed to a wasted and awful life. Wherever I went people would give me hard stares, like I was a criminal. A person to be locked in a cell with no way out.
A single story changed the way people saw me. Now I realize what people have heard of my Pedar. It is frightening what the English news is like, what gets out there, and my father is on the cover of it all.
