Flowers that once bloomed in color now wilt in gray.

The laughter that echoed in the halls now seems to have evaporated.

Everything in thy memory has faded away so deep.

All is now silently uncomfortable, but that’s the way it is.

Breaking it would seem out of place, so wrong.

It is just the unspoken silence of the daily lives.

Bittersweet is my laugh, no joy is found in this chuckle.

Reminiscent of the days upon which I stumbled.

I stumbled in my love and words, life held my horrid stutter.

Forgiveness in my heart knew not, love had to battle its way in.

Cold, desperate, hungry for life, so I lived out my bittersweet days .

Father don't harm me, I am your daughter. Please don't yell and throw around items.

Don't hate me and kill me and then expect me to hug and love you like all is fine.

The world may move on, but not me, I will hate you till the end of time.

Father don't tell me I'm useless and trash, don't kick me around like a dog or cat.

Love me tenderly and show that you are better than the damn devil.

Too late now to take it back, you harmed me, my heart broken in two.

In a torn and dirtied dress a little girl swings. Back and forth she's sings. Her father tares her down and throws her against a tree. Her mother only stops to say "You are useless, no good, you'll never be anything." And so the child is left to weep, bloody in a corner.
