Typhon (also known as Typhoeus) was known to be the most deadly monster in Greek mythology, and was also known to be the father of most monsters. His wife, Echidna, was the mother of most monsters. Typhon was said to be so tall that his head was said to touch the stars. Instead of fingers on his hands, he had fifty serpent heads on each hand. Where a human head should be, a hundred dragon heads grow in place of it, and his bottom half of his body contains serpent-like coils. He has wings, pointy ears, and eyes on fire.
Typhon challenged Zeus for control of Mount Olympus and also because Zeus had imprisoned the Titans (immortal giants), but later on Typhon is defeated by Zeus. Zeus then traps him under Mount Etna, imprisoning him in the pit of Tartarus.
