A creature of Typoeus and Echidna, the Chimera was known to be a fire-breathing monster of Lycia with three heads - goat, lion, and snake. Normally, the lion would be at front, the goat to the middle, and followed by the snake for the tail. A few interpreters, however, may see the Chimera as having a dragon and goat head on the sides, the lion head in the middle, and the snake tail, as well as the dragon's wings on the back of the creature. The snake tail carried harmful venom as well. The Chimera was later on killed by Bellerophon.
