Chapter 12

"Can you come pick me up?" he asked hopefully

"Yeah, I'll be there in a minute." I smiled

"Okay, thanks!"

I walked to my car and drove out and to LAX to pick Nathan up. When I got there, there were tons of screaming girls, I walked in and saw Nathan sitting alone in Starbucks.

"Hey cutie, I love your outfit." He winked

I looked down and realized I was in Nathan's 'Check Me Out' shirt and some wind pants, and a hoodie.

"Thanks! I liked the shirt too"

"Come let's go"

"Okay, and you should carry me." I laughed

"Okay, hop on." He smiled

I got on his back, and he gave me a piggy back ride out, as soon as we were spotted, a lot of screaming happened. I had his bag on my back when we finally got to my car. I put his bag in the trunk and we took off to my apartment. As soon as we got there, me and Nathan were on tv.

Ouch. That hurt. I mean I've only dated Dave and Beau.

"First she started with Dave, then Beau, then Luke, and now Nathan?" The reporter asked rhetorically

"Don't listen to this bullshit" Nathan said while turning the tv off

The funny thing was that I had left the tv off, and those chips weren't there when I left. This meant one thing, somebody was in the house, besides me and Nathan.

"Who's there?" I shouted causing Nathan to give a strange look

"What?" Nathan asked

"Somebody is in my apartment."

"How many people have a key to your apartment?"

"No one, except my parents."

"Maybe they're here?"

"Mom, Dad?"

We walked into the kitchen, when I flipped the light switch on,

"SURPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENISE!!" The crowd screamed

"Happy birthday Denise" Nathan whispered in my ear

"You planned this! Didn't you?!" I giggled

"Only for the best girl in the world" he smiled

"Aww! You're so sweet!" I smiled

I walked in and saw a lot of different people, my parents greeted me and gave me a big hug and kisses, Dave walked up slurring happy birthday to me, his arms wrapped around some girl, wow nice way to ruin my birthday once again Dave.

"Thanks" I said coldly

"Well this is Nancy, my girlfriend" Dave grinned

"Nice to meet you Nancy." I smiled

I walked to my room with Nathan hot on my heels. I really didn't want to be with anyone, I'm going to stay single for the rest of my life, and I'm going to have tons of cats and die alone.

"Forget him Denise, he's not right for you" Nathan whispered in my ear

"How did you know I was thinking about him?" I asked

"I saw the way you were looking at him and the way you answered him." Nathan sighed

"Oh..." I sighed
