Chapter Eighteen: Executioner

"What are you doing here, Brent?" Joseph yelled at our Ex-pack member.

Brent smiled over at us and even had the nerve to wave his hand. The man behind him took Jon Jon over to where Cathy was, now gripping the bars as tightly as she could, yelling at them to put Jon Jon down.

"Don't worry sweetheart," The man said opening Cathy cage and laying Jon Jon down in the center. That was the perfect chance for Cathy to escape but she didn't seem worried about that. Right now, Jon Jon was her main concern. She rushed over to him the moment he was laid on the ground and placed his head on her lap. "Your boys fine. I can make sure he's extra fine if you want?"

"How the hell could you do that?" Cathy's raw voice even made me cringe.

But the man must have been stupid, because he only smiled down at her. "You could always become my personal slave, I'd be sure that your boy here was extra took care of."

I growled myself this time. I mentally shouted at Cathy to run for the door, since the man had left it open before he was stupid enough to step inside it. If she did, then she could get the others, and not only save Jon Jon, but also the rest of us. But Cathy laughed, as though he was joking. "You wouldn't know how to handle someone like me, dumb ass."

I gaped over at her, forgetting about Cathy's escape and Brent for a second. I had never heard her cuss and if I had, I had never paid it any attention. She did it well.

The man's face reddened with anger, but he quickly composed himself. He turned away from her and locked the cell door once again, finally stepping out. And stopping any kind of escape we had. "Suit yourself, bitch. But later, you'll beg me to make you my slave. And I won't."

"I'd never beg to some ass whip like you."

I laughed out loud this time. Damn, I'd have to learn how she did that some time soon.

After I find out why my brother betrayed me, or course.

The man yelled, "Once you find out what is in store for you, you will change your fucking mind. Just wait and see."

"And what's in store for us?" Joseph asked even as Cathy said, "Go suck someone."

The man opened his mouth, his face once again reddened by anger. But before he could say anything, whether it was the information Joseph wanted or to curse at Cathy someone, Brent finally spoke since entering the room. "That's enough, Julian."

The man- Julian- turned towards Brent. "You heard what she said-"

"And you heard what I said," Brent interrupted, not sparring Julian a glance. Instead, he was staring at me with interest.

Julian mumbled under his breath but didn't say anything else to Cathy, and Cathy completely ignored everyone after that, tending to Jon Jon.

I could smell his blood in the air, and I was sure everyone else in the room could also. Apart from Cathy, but she was busy whipping at the blood to worry about the smell of it. It was like a perfume for the air. Dark and musky, intoxicating. I wanted to be closer to that beautiful smell. I wanted to-

"Pup, stop!" Joseph's frantic voice broke through the haze I had seemed to fall in. That's when I noticed that I had moved from the center of the cage to the edge, closest to Cathy's cage. My arm's about to encircle the bars.

I jerked back. The silver encasing my arms inched into my skin even more, but I didn't care. That little piece of uncomfortable was better then me gripping the silver bars and trying to get out. That would only make me burn more.
