Appendix X  Maar Dwarven to Dwarven Translation

The Maar Dwarves are the name given to the Dwarves who live in and around the Veiled Mountains.  The are a hearty and good natured folk, who prize fine craftsmenship of all kinds, good hearty food, precious metals and gems, and mithril most of all.

They are secretive about thier mining as a practical matter, but are kind and generous to most folk.  They have a general distrust only of elves, but do not hate them as a rule

They are eager to show thier vast underworkings of the cities and halls the build in the bowels of the earth, and enjoy trades craft, and engineering.  Thier language is a reflection of thier adherence to the pursuit of these knowledges and minerals of great value.  Also they have many words to describe the ways and passages under the earth that most other races would just call caves or catacombs.

They can be grumpy or quick to anger if challenged or threatened or in some way offended.  Thier language typically sounds like any functional language, but seems to at times have magical properties, especially when thier clerics or priests are enraged.
