If these words make a difference

Say I’m wrong;

Say I’m hopeless

I’ll drown in my bottle,

Keeping the words that

I forgot to mention

I’ve only got so long —

Your goodbye

To beat

So,

If these words

Ever make a difference

Say what I know;

Say what was once

Innocent

That we have

Nothing to lose,

That it’s me you’ll choose

And you’ll fall

Into place,

You’ll fall into me

It’s a long way to forever

But this is the way

We’ll remember it
