Deep, deep down in a hole,
It’s black, blacker than coal.
What lies there hidden in the dark?
Massive dragons or flighty larks?
Are there enormous castles and giants tall?
Are there tiny thimbles and pixies small?
I say they are all there, and more,
Like gentle maids and waves lapping at the shore.
But I guess you’ll never see
If you don’t look for what’s waiting for you and me.
Jump with me deep down in a hole
Where it’s black, blacker than coal.
We’ll embark on new adventures
And listen no more to long, boring lectures.
We’ll slide down fast in a twirl,
Our minds jumbled and in a whirl.
What waits for us there,
I wish to share.
I didn’t care what it took,
I just wanted one small look.
Deep, deep down in a hole
It’s black, blacker than coal.
