A handsome face hidden by a dark mask.

That was the last thing his victims saw before they died in his cold embrace. It was a shame how fragile humans were, he thought with pity. But they were always so willing to exchange their meaningless life for a night of passion.

Just like the girl that lay under him, her body was stiff and mouth agape. He touched her pale cheek, and couldn't help but smile as he remembered her last words.

"Please! Don't stop!" She had been screaming, before falling into silence.

In her last moments she had been desperately trying to cling to him, searching his eyes for the love she craved. She could not resist him, and was happy to succumb to his alluring touch until the bitter end. Because he was everything she wanted, everything she needed. The perfect man of her dreams. An escape from reality.

And she was just one of many of his never-ending meals.

"It's not enough," he muttered through gritted teeth, "I want more..."

Usually just one meal was enough to last him a week, but these couple of days his hunger was unbearable. It seemed that he wanted more, and he realized that it could only be cured by the current object of his interest. The bewitching human that constantly haunted him, and called for him.

It can only be her.

"Blaze? Are you okay?"

I blinked in shock, and realized I had been dozing off during the student council meeting. My lips immediately formed a bright smile and I nodded at the vice-president, "Of course. I was just thinking about the possible dates we could make available for the students."

My eyes glazed over the documents on the desk, each paper holding information on the events planned for this spring. From holding sessions on how senior students can apply to colleges, to financial aid, and scholarships. "We have to make sure that the events don't overlap. And that the information sessions come before the application deadlines, so I wanted to suggest if we could start on January the 29th," I glanced at the calendar and raised my head to ask everyone, "what do you guys think?"

The committee agreed, and I couldn't help but be proud at my quick thinking. Usually everyone would start to argue on when the events should be placed, but today everyone was oddly more complicit. They were also observant, and had noticed the slip I had made. It was unlike me to doze off, especially during school.

But today, I felt very restless.

It was as if I didn't have the energy to properly concentrate or to function.

"Tiffany can you write Mrs. Howard a letter to see if we can use the cafeteria to hold the session on that date?" I glanced over at the secretary and she nodded. "Once you are done, I'll make sure to drop it off in her office, since she already left for the day."

The vice-president came to stand by my side and asked, "Is there anything we didn't cover in today's meeting?"

Everyone shook their head, and I took it as a sign that they wanted to desperately go home. "If you guys are done with your duties then we can end it for today."

The classroom was bustling as the members stood up from their desks, and collected their documents. I wouldn't admit it out loud, but I felt relieved that I could finally go home. Maybe a nice shower and long nap will help me relax.

One of the members suddenly added, "Just watch out in the neighborhood, I heard that there are delinquents roaming the streets at night. The assistant principal told me that they would address them in a few days."
