ARMONI POV:

"Mama can you sign this?" Jr asked waving a piece of paper in my face. The kids and I were gathered in the den; the kids were doing their school work and I was finishing up a note on one of my clients from earlier today.

I took the piece of paper from him and quickly scammed over it. "You want mommy to go with you?" I asked him. It was a permission slip to go on a class field trip to the zoo.

"If you want." He shrugged, nonchalantly.

"Boy, do you want me to come? Yes or no?" I asked, eyeing him as I smacked the back of his head playfully.

"Yes ma'am, I want you to come." He finally answered, making me smile. It made me feel good to know that he wanted me to come with him on his field trip. It may not seem like much but my baby was getting older and gaining his independence; he didn't need me to do a lot of things for him. I was glad he still wanted to be around his Mama, even while at school. "You think Daddy could come too?" He asked.

"We can ask him." I told him after signing and dating the permission slip. "When he calls at bedtime, you can ask."

"Yes ma'am." He responded, tucking the piece of paper back into his folder. He pulled out his list of sight words and began to independently go over them as I moved on to my next client.

Before I could even start typing; Aaliyah and Austin came into the room. They both had a look on their face but I couldn't decipher it. "What now?" I asked them, already knowing it was something.

"We just came across something online and we wanted to know if it was true." Aaliyah said, shrugging her shoulders as she sat next to me on the couch.

"What is it?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"Well we were just scrolling along, minding our business when we came across this." Austin stated, sitting  next to me on the other side of the couch. He put his phone in my face and I took it out of his hand so I could get a better look at it.

Unfortunately, it was a picture of Jerome and I. It was unknowingly taken of us while we were leaving my doctor's appointment. The caption and writing below the picture made my heart drop down to my ass. I literally felt sick to my damn stomach.

Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Player Jerome Jackson and Wife Armoni Jackson rumored to be expecting another child together. If she is pregnant; this will be the couple's fourth child together, Jerome has a daughter from a prior relationship. Congratulations and well wishes to the happy couple.

"Sooooooo, is it true?" Aaliyah asked smirking. Her goofy ass asks just like Jerome. His ways have rubbed off on my kids.

"Do we have a brother or sister coming soon?" Austin grinned in my face.

"Why don't y'all go read a book or something? Aren't y'all supposed to be doing homework? And why the hell are y'all on these gossip sites anyway?" I fussed at them, tossing his phone.

"Bye little sister or brother." Austin cooed in a joking manner, rubbing my flat stomach. He ran for the door but I quickly took my shoe off and was able to hit him in the back with it.

"It's true Mama?" Aaliyah asked. I didn't want to lie to her but at the same time I wasn't ready to tell anyone about my pregnancy. I was still trying to process it myself, now I had people that I didn't even know in my damn business.

"When your father comes home we'll have a talk as a family." I responded simply.

"Awww! You are pregnant!" She cooed as she hugged me tightly. "I hope it's a another boy. I wanna be the only girl." She stated as she placed her hand on my stomach. I sighed, not knowing what to say. "Don't worry, I won't tell anybody." She assured me. I simply held out my pinky and she wrapped hers around mine.
