I force my eyes to open once I realized what happened earlier. I sit up, rubbing my eyes to check the time. 6:14 p.m; Dakota and I slept for an hour. I sigh in frustration. I always wake up too early, but since that stopped me from cuddling with Dakota, I can't help but feel angry.

I check my phone and my eyes widen. All I see are messages from Clary, who has been blowing up my notifications for the past hour. I check the messages:

     Clary: "I need help!"

Clary: "I'm sorry I lied to you, but I'm at the amusement park with Hunter, not babysitting!"

Clary: "Before you start teasing, Holly came in and ruined our date!"

Clary: "I'm practically the third wheel here. I remembered your warning and right now, I'm being completely nice! I let her destroy my day with Hunter! :c"

Clary: "I'm about to explode! Get over here and save me! Be my hero please?!"

Clary: "Why the heck aren't you answering!!?? It's been twenty minutes and I got no answer from you!"

     Clary: "Omg."

With that, Clary stopped messaging. Oh, she's going to kill me. I immediately look at Dakota's sleeping figure. I can't just leave him here. What if my parents come back and see him? I sigh and begin shaking Dakota's arm.

"Dakota, wake up! Clary needs my help and I can't leave you." Although, Dakota continues sleeping.

I mutter to myself, "okay. We're doing this the hard way." Gathering up all my strength, I push Dakota off the couch. I lean over to see him grumbling, but waking up.

The brown-haired boy sits up, completely angry. He looks at me with a playful glare.

I hold back a laugh and say, "Clary needs our help. Your little friend, Hunter, ditched Clary for Holly."

Dakota nods and gets up. I follow after him as we head to the amusement park.

Colette: "Okay, we're here. Are you two still in the amusement park?"

Clary: "Yep. I'm walking behind them to the food court. And who's 'we'?"

     Colette: "Dakota and I."

Clary: ";) oh I see. You know what, why don't you ENJOY THE WHOLE DAY WITH DAKOTA IN THE PARK WHILE I JUST PRETEND I'M OKAY! Ha ha. Jk Jk."

Although, I could tell she wasn't kidding. Knowing Clary, I know she wouldn't yell like that. I guess she really likes Hunter and is completely affected by his actions.

"Where are they, Colette?" Dakota asks over my shoulder.

"The food court. Let's go," I reply, running to the food court.

Dakota and I arrive at the food court and search the tables. Family and friends crowd every space in the food court, which makes it a lot harder to find the three teens. Although, I spot them immediately. Clary, sitting alone in one booth while Hunter and Holly sit together in the other booth. Holly was obviously flirting with Hunter, Clary hides her frustration with a smile, and Hunter becomes a blushing mess.

I point to where they are and tell Dakota, "there. They're over there!"

I guess I shouted too loud because Clary immediately spots where I am. Her eyes widens as she gets up and runs over to me. Although, I was fazed by her clothes. She's wearing a black summer dress, black sneakers, and her hair is curled. It's completely something she wouldn't wear. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing she kept her glasses on.

"Why weren't you answering my texts?" Clary asks, anger and worry written all over her face.

"I'm sorry, but I fell asleep," I reply.

Clary looks over at Dakota and asks, "then why'd you invite him over?"

"I slept with her," Dakota replies nonchalantly and shrugs.

Clary's brown eyes widens as she looks at me. I shake my head frantically and stutter, "i-it's not what you think! N-Nothing like that happened, we just fell asleep next to each other!"

Clary lets out a huge sigh of relief and glares at Dakota. "Try anything on my best friend, I'll kill you."

Dakota raises an eyebrow, confused. I guess he didn't understand what she meant. Good.

"Please get me out of here. I don't want to be here!" Clary cries out and clings onto me.

"But first, I've got some unfinished business with Hunter," I grumble. To be honest, I'm completely angry at Hunter. He had no right to ditch my friend when it's their date today.

"Not worth it, let's go," Clary mutters and grabs my arm. I shake her arm off and immediately storm off to Hunter.

Once I arrive at their table, I slam my hand on the glass, startling Holly and Hunter. I glare at both of them, completely disgusted. I yell, "you have the nerve to go on a date with my best friend, but completely leave her for this thing?!"

Holly gets up and glares at me. "What's it to you? What are you, his mom?"

Before I can remark, Hunter interrupts. "Calm down, will you? Holly just happened to be here and Clary and I invited her."

Before I can speak (again), a voice interrupts me. "Hunter, you know better than to invite another girl in your date. What do you think a date is?"

I look behind me to see Dakota with a stern look on his face. Behind him was Clary with her arms crossed. She was looking anywhere, but at Hunter.

"Just leave him alone. If you were truly his friends, you'd respect his decisions," Holly retorts, grabbing Hunter's arm. Without saying another word, Hunter lets Holly drag him out of the food court.

Before they leave, Clary grabs a cold drink from a random person's table and walks over to Holly. Without the girl noticing, Clary dumps the beverage onto her head. My eyes widen, as does Dakota's.

Clary wasn't finished. She grabs a plate of nachos with cheese from another person's table and shoves it at Hunter's face. Hunter stumbles back, while Holly yells a colorful language.

Before Dakota or I can do anything, a guard comes in and grabs Clary's arm. He drags her out of the amusement park, with Dakota and I following behind. We try to reason with the guard but he kicks all of us out.

"You're banned from coming here ever again, young lady," the guard orders.

Dakota, Clary, and I look at each other. Then, we burst into laughter.
