About a girl
Who knows what it's like to
Rest her legs between yours,
To feel your breath on the back of her neck,
To taste your lips on her in October.
There is something so fragile
About a girl
Who placed all of her trust into you,
Who spent all of her nights with you,
Who invested all of happiness in you,
Who waited for you.
There is something so delicate
About a girl
Who pulled the blanket over her head,
Who never received the phone call you promised,
Who turned off all of the lights,
Who disappeared into herself.
There is something so beautiful
So fragile
So delicate
About a girl
That you have
Broken
