Gaara: So what's this story's plot?

Me: I have a slight idea, but I'm not sharing it. I'm contemplating who to kill.

Kinisa: Hang on! You're going to kill someone?

Me: Yeah! I always do. I killed you, remember? I'm thinking of making it someone important...

Kankuro: Please don't kill me.

I don’t own Naruto or Gaara.

Kinisa’s P.O.V

I knocked on the door into Gaara's office.

“Come in,” he called out.

I stepped into the room. Kankuro and Tiera were there.

“Hey guys,” I smiled.

“Hey,” Tiera smiled back.

“Kankuro, I'll talk to you about this later,” Gaara said quickly. Kankuro nodded.

“What's happening?” I asked, walking to stand beside Gaara.

“Kankuro's just being Kankuro,” Tiera said.

“That can't be good,” I sighed sarcastically. They all laughed.

“We'll see you later, Gaara,” Kankuro said. Tiera walked out of the door, and Kankuro followed her. But before leaving, he winked at Gaara.

The door closed, and Gaara stood up from his desk.

“What was that about?” I asked.

“He was just being annoying, like normal,” he shrugged before giving me a hug.

“I know you won't agree, but my brother has sent me a message, asking if he can visit me. Is it ok with you?” I asked.

“I'm not sure if I want Deidara here or not,” he frowned. I sighed.

“I know you don't like him, but he's my brother. He only wants to be here for an hour at the most,” I begged.

“Fine,” he sighed.

“Gaara, you don't have to be there. He doesn't know about us, so you don't have to be involved,” I said.

“I know.”

“Now, on a happier note, I'm free tonight,” I smiled at him. He grinned.

“Do you want to go to the plaza then?” he asked.

“I was going to ask you that,” I giggled. He kissed me softly.

“Then let's do that tonight,” he whispered.

***A few days later, after Deidara's visit***

I sat down on the couch, brushing hair from my face.

“You slept in, again,” Kala said from the kitchen.

“Hey, I went to the plaza last night,” I rolled my eyes.

“You go often now. I know this will sound weird, but I miss being in your head, to hear and feel everything with you,” she sighed. I laughed.

“It feels good to not have a flat-mate stuck in my head. I can live my own life,” I said.

“That's mean. Are you saying you didn't like having me there?” she asked.

“I'm saying that the constant feeling of knowing that someone else knows everything I'm hearing, tasting, feeling, smelling, thinking, saying, and so on, is good to have gone,” I shrugged. It was her turn to laugh.

“I guess you're right.”

“So, how's life for you?” I asked.

“Well...,” she started.

“What's going on this time?” I asked, giving her a cheeky look.

“Hey! I haven't gotten myself in trouble before!” she laughed.

“I was kidding,” I rolled my eyes.

“I was thinking of going to Leaf for a few days,” she said.

“Leaf? What's so cool about Leaf?”

“Nothing, I guess,” she shrugged.

I could tell she was lying.

“Come on, Kala. Spit it out,” I got up and walked over to her.

“Fine! You know how Team Guy passed through not too long ago?”

“Yeah. What about them?” I frowned.

“Well, Neji and I...kinda....”

I cut her off.

“You're with Neji, of all people?” I asked quickly.

“Yeah, but that's ok, right?” she suddenly became really shy.

“Kala, that's amazing!” I grinned at her. She laughed.

“I'm glad you think so. I was worried,” she said. I gave her a sisterly hug.

“I think you two will be great for each other,” I said happily.

“Thanks.”

“Now you get to see how annoying boyfriends can be. I tell you, Gaara can get on my nerves so much when he tries,” I said. Kala giggled.

“I would be careful when you say that, if I were you,” Gaara's voice came from behind me. I gave a squeel and spun around. He was standing next to the door, showing that he had just come in.

“You have to worst timing,” I sighed.

“Or the best,” he said, walking up to me. I giggled, and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Seriously, guys, do you have to?” Kala said, rolling her eyes.

“You're the one who wants to go visit their boyfriend,” I scoffed sarcastically.

“You're mean,” she pouted.

“You should know that by now, she who was in my head for a long time,” I laughed. Gaara chuckled, and kissed my cheek.

“You really can be annoying too,” he whispered.

“Oh shut up,” I said, turning my head back to him.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Kankuro hurried in.

“Bad news, Gaara. Four members of the Akatsuki, all heading towards the Village,” he said quickly. Gaara took a step away from me.

“This can't be good,” he muttered.

Yay! Now I'm getting the story started :)
