Graveyard

I sat legs crossed in the middle of the isolated graveyard.

Staring at my name written across the plaque.

Tears ran down my face.

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned around and I saw Ella smiling at me.

She crouched down on to the grass.

"What are you doing here?"

Ella spoke as she stared at what was meant to be my grave.

"I.."

"I.."

"I had died here and now I will be reborn here."

"What do you mean?" Ella said looking complexed.

I carried on.

"For my family, my life had ended here, all my relationships, all my bonds. I had lost my childhood. Left in the wrong hands.

And now my life will start again."

"I still don't understand."  Ella said.

"But if I'm alive, there can't be my grave."

Ella face fell, she looked concerned.

"How will you do that? So your going to remove the grave.

Listen Scarlett, your still a kid. Sometimes it is really hard to understand adults."

I turned around gob smacked.

"So your saying I should just get lost. Let them live like I was dead like how they have been for the last 13 years."

I got up.

I came back with a shovel.

"Scarlett! You can't remove this grave. What if there is a actual body lying here."

"Well it can't be me, also I want to find out who is in this."

I was about to stab the shovel in the grass.

Until...

"STOP!"

I startled and turned around, it was mother.

She walked closer to me, she snatched the shovel and threw it away.

"How dare you not let my daughter rest in peace!"

"Mother, I am alive so how can I be.."

"Shut up! Please, for heavens sake, stop claiming to be my daughter. My daughter is dead.

She can never return, not for you, not for anybody else.

And I will never let you tear this grave apart. Please leave me and my family alone.

I don't know who you are or what your problem is but.."

"My problem is that even though your daughter is in front of you, you can't even recognise her."

"You are not my daughter and you never will be, don't show me your face again."

I was shattered.

I lost hopes

That was the end of me.

But I will not give up and go away just like that.
