Theia couldn't stop.

the light was in her blood, between her teeth.

she felt powerful and she wanted him dead.

she punched a hole in the floor and watched as it fell away into the universe.

Erebus was on his knees, bleeding stars.

"I loved you," he said, rising to his feet.

"I did it for you. so we could be together, just you and I."

there was a certain blackness in his eyes, trickling out of the corners.

"I waited for you, but you never said anything. you watched the world, and you left me to make it pretty."

"I loved you!" she cried back, her hair glowing. "I loved you and Earth. but you killed them both."

she started floating then, her breath turning to glass.

"because the man I see now, was not the Erebus I knew before."

he was crying, feeling every piece of his heart break.

"I did love you, but not anymore."

that was it, the word that ended it all.

Erebus flexed his knuckles and the blackness lifted.

it twisted, screeching and clicking.

Theia watched as the darkness rose and folded, crafting itself into a sort of wave.

"then watch me wreck everything. because if you will not love me, then I will kill you."

he pushed forward, and the wave surged towards Theia.

it broke, a thousand shadows on top of a thousand lights.

he heard her scream and watched as she was swallowed.

slowly, the darkness slithered away.

and the girl he once cared for, was drenched in the blood of his love.
