Disappointment

Sometimes you wonder
what went wrong
for hours you ponder
through nights that stretch long.

Sometimes you feel useless
and also a bit pathetic
you feel you're baseless
without a concrete support.

Sometimes you see
your hopes crashing down
when your parent's glee
turns into a frown.

But sometime later
you'll understand yourself
That all this
was worth the pain

That all this
is just a small defection
in this gift of life
given by god with affection.

A/N :
I'm fully aware that disappointment is not a thing of beauty. But the gift of life is. Many of us go through depression and anxiety related disorders. And it's completely fine. All of us are warriors and we all are constantly battling our inner demons. I included this poem in this collection to show that failure in anything is not the end of the world. God has given us a beautiful gift in the form of life and its upon us to handle it carefully and thoughtfully. We all have those moments where we feel like a disappointment, like a failure. But that doesn't give us a right to throw away this gift of life. Life is beautiful, because you're in it. So do not take away this thing of beauty from yourself. I know many people will relate with the first three stanzas of this poem. But all you need to focus is on the last two paras. That's it. Everything will be okay. It might take time, because all wounds do not heal instantly. But they'll eventually heal and become better. Just like life.
Keep smiling folks!! :)
