This poem is a syllabic, meaning each line has a certain amount of syllables. I also did an in-centos with Secondhand Serenade lyrics. If you have any input on how to make this have less lines from their music be my guest. And less abstract.

Serenade

Say,

“Hello.”

Greetings, my friend.

Don’t be shy

or make me change my mind

you won’t live to see another day.

My heart would love

to see how beautiful you are

‘cause a girl like you is impossible to find.

Come be my little princess in a castle, wrapped in crimson silk.

Couldn’t you believe that everything I did wasn’t just deceiving?

Tell me I was wrong for a guiltless twisted lie.

I’m torn to do what I have to,

to make you mine.

Cause today you walked out of my life

you don’t leave me tonight.

Stay with me,

it’s time to say,

“Goodbye,

May.”

Here is the REWRITE which has less song lyrics.

Serenade

Say,

“Hello.”

Greetings, my friend.

Don’t be shy

or make me change my mind

you won’t live to see another day.

I saw you there

across the street, oh beautiful.

You just needed convincing from a stranger to

come be my little princess in a castle, wrapped in crimson silk.

Embrace my decision, because from the heart I’m not deceiving.

Tell me I was wrong for a guiltless twisted lie.

I won’t take no for an answer.

I’ll make you mine.

You tried to walk out the door again

don’t leave me tonight. Why?

Stay with me,

it’s time for a

Goodbye

Aye?
