Chapter Eight

Elena's P.O.V

Now that i don't have my necklace i need to find a way to keep myself from being compelled. i've asked Mrs. Lockwood for some vervain tea, that should keep me good. lets just hope ive made it right. i take a small sip and feel it burn the back of my throat and not in a good way, its almost like its melting. Whats wrong with me? i feel myself sinking, falling onto the floor.

"Elena Why are you on the floor!" Jeremy exclaims as he goes to help me

"I'm fine Jer." i say getting up. "Hey take a sip of that tell me if it tastes good to you."

"Okay.." he says going to take a sip. "Tastes fine to me."

"Okay. thanks." i say watching him leave the room i dump it out and rinse the cup with soap before filling it with some cold water

"Elena." Damon says from behind me

"What are you doing here?" i ask

"Why did you play dumb earlier when Marissa walked in?" he asks

"Play dumb?" i ask confused. "Neither you or Stefan EVER told me you had a sister."

"And i need to ask you something." i say "I was drinking some tea that Mrs. Lockwood gave me and it literally burned my throat, and i don't know why."

"What kind of tea?" he asks

"The kind with Vervain in it, since i don't have my necklace anymore." i say

"Well, then what are we going to do. the only one who would know anything would be Klaus or Franceska." he says

"Then why not ask Franceska?" i ask

 "There's no time for that, we have an issue. Something happened and now there are ghosts walking all over Mystic Falls. All the tomb vampires are here too." he says

"What?" i ask "How is that even possible?"

"Don't know, don't care. Something needs to be done about it though."

"I'll call bonnie." I say

i press talk knowing the last person i called had been Bonnie and wait for her to pick up, only its Caroline who does. "Caroline, can i talk to Bonnie please?" i ask

"She's busy... Talking to Grams." she says

"How is it even possible that all these ghosts are out and about?" i ask

"Bonnie did a spell. So we could try and help Stefan. Damon had said one time that Lexi always got him out of his ripper days so we thought maybe she would be around.." she says

"Oh. so she brought back all these ghosts to find Lexi, did you guys find her?" i ask

"No, see we never really knew her and we think it might be easier for someone who actually met her to try and contact her. we need you to do it Elena." Caroline says

"Okay..-" i start "Elena, what a good day to be thinking of me." Lexi says appearing out of no where infront of me

"Lexi." i state

"Yes Elena, you need to get in touch with" i interrupt her "No, i found her, or she found me." i say

"Oh, kay bye!" she says hanging up the phone.

"I need your help. Stefan needs your help.." i say

"I know. i was wondering around outside of the grill. he has gone crazy. i have locked him up he's the basement of the boarding house as we speak and i need you to come with me." she says
