I woke up the next morning feeling groggy and sad.
Pushing my thick brown hair off my face and rubbing my eyes, I realised I was partially naked.
Looking to my side, I saw a bare back facing me, tanned and muscularly.
‘Brodie? Had I really...’
Then realisation hit me like a tonne of bricks.
“Shit!” I cursed out loud, causing Brodie to wake up.
“Sarah, what are you doing here? And why are you naked... Oh.”
I nodded.
“Were we drunk? Because it kind of feels like it.”
“I know. But I certainly am not drunk.”
Brodie nodded his head.
“Hey Sarah, what happened with you and Tyler? I mean, you wouldn’t have come in her if you were all lovey dovey still-“
I cupped his face in my face, kissing him slow and deep.
After releasing, I stroked his face.
“Remember last night? You kept talking and I told you to be quiet?”
He nodded his head.
“Yeah, so stop ruining it.”
I smiled and he laughed.
“I’m pretty sure I didn’t ruin it...”
I slapped his chest.
“Yep, you sure didn’t.”
Smirking, I slipped off the bed, a thin white sheet wrapped around my body.
“What the point in that? I’ve already seen you.”
He raised his eyebrows and smirked.
I shook my head and continued into the bathroom.
I didn’t look to bad.
My thick brown hair was a little messy, with hardly any knots.
I still had some eyeliner on from yesterday, and my eyes didn’t look as tired as they felt.
Quickly rinsing my face and throwing my hair back into a messy bun, I turned around and there was Brodie standing in the doorway, wearing only his boxers.
“I thought because we’ve already seen each other, we could just walk around naked?”
I said, crossing my arms over the sheet.
“Yeah, but I wanted to leave you wanting more.”
I opened my mouth to say something, but close it anyway.
I didn’t want to hurt his male ego.
“Ha! I got you speechless.”
“Nope, I just didn’t want your male ego to hurt.”
He fake pouted.
“Whatever.”
I smirked and walked out of the room.
Putting the kettle on and getting a coffee cup, I watched as Brodie sat on the bar stools in front of me.
“Why Sarah?”
“Why what?”
He stared at me.
“You know what. Why me? Why did we?”
I shrugged.
“I don’t know. I think your cute, and-“
“Is that all? You think I’m cute? There’s something else, I know there is.”
