we need to feel

they say there is a fine line between love and hate.

love is an emotion, hate is an emotion.

they are on the same side, so why do we view them to be so different?

love and hate create each other.
when love is angry it turns to hate, when hate is happy it turns to love - just like humans.

so i ask again, why are they treated like two complete strangers, when they complete each other so perfectly - don't opposites attract?

emotion is what runs this world, what would this world be without emotion.

dull, dead, and daunting.

emotion is what makes us tingle.

whether it may be the feeling of happiness with goosebumps rising along your arms, or your stomach exploding with excitement and butterflies.

but what if we could turn our emotions off for the moments we don't want to feel, the moments that make us cry, pull our hair out in frustration and scream in agony for endless hours.

truth is, life wouldn't be the same if we didn't feel anything.
