It's never enough.

The man that makes me tear
Is the man that makes me laugh
It was him I held dear
But I'd had enough

I'd do better without the toss and the turn
Even better without the weeping nights
Moving on was what I had to learn
To sleep peacefully after turning off the lights

Now he's a thing of the past
Nowhere to be seen when I close my eyes
I can't remember when I cried over him last
I can't remember why I failed to realise:

Not only did I rid my life of sorrow
I had rid my life of all sensation
Today was indifferent to tomorrow
My days were a monotonous repeated narration

Because the man that makes me tear
Is the only man that can make me laugh.
It is him I hold dear
Now I want more than enough.
