What have I done?
Have I lost you in the mist
Before the fight was won
Yet, we never even kissed
I have yet to feel your touch
On my skin so bare
Have I said too much?
And lost this love so rare?
Distance bars us from meeting
I wonder if you care
Just one little greeting
As my heart is already there?
Am I just your fantasy
Or do you wish me to be real?
Will you break through what can never be
And tell me how you feel?
You didn’t want to lose me
That much was certainly true
But would you still be happy
If I made a fool of you
Your heart was my intent
To touch your soul so deep
Until your mind became unbent
And you held me in my sleep
To feel your arms around me
Showing me that you care
To press myself against thee
And touch that gorgeous hair
To see your smile so joyful
Like Heaven’s light above
Where everything that’s mournful
Dies in the light of love
To see your laughter spill forth
Like music filled with glee
The glowing mirth that is worth
More than the stars to me
