Autumn was coming fast, mostly every tree was bare, leaving the ground flooded with leaves. Not many people were in the park, I guess it was because of how cold the night had gotten. With my feet crushing the leave beneath them I made my way to swings in the play park. The place was empty which was a good thing I guess. I had a go on one the swing then decided to head back to the flat. It was starting to get dark even though it was only 6pm, I picked up my pace as I felt the temperature quickly dropping.
As I fiddle around with my keys trying to get the right one for the flat door, the door swings open.
" ohh there you are I was about to come looking for you" - Luke said
"Yupp here I am, is that Ashton guy still here?" I questioned
"He left about 5 minutes ago "- L.
I entered the flat without saying anything else I was just relieved to be back in the warmth of the flat.
" So what was he here for" I shout from the bedroom to Luke who was in the living room.
"Just a catch up, he went to my old school before I moved to the same one as you" - L
"Okay" I replied
Was it really just a catch up, why would he want to be left alone if it wasn't to important, and what was this yesterday morning about? I know I shouldn't be noisy to much in his life but he looked like had been in a fight yesterday morning! I have the right to question that, right?
"Luke is there anything your not telling me " I said as Luke came into our bedroom.
"Nothing important, I will sort it out don't worry "- L
" so you are keeping something from me. I think it is important enough if you came back in the state you were in this morning"
"Seriously it is none of your business , just stay out of it"-L
" don't I get to at least know why it is some big secret, who did it to you Luke who"
"Just give me a fucking break would you, i'm not telling you anything so your just going to have to deal with it" Luke shouted back at me.
The rage in his eyes was overwhelmingly scary, it was like another side to him. This was our first ever fight that involved him scream at me and I was scared.
*Lukes point of view *
What have I done, just looking at her I can see the vulnerability in her eyes. I just want to tell her the truth but I can' t it would scare her even more. I slow moved closer to her I could see her hesitating as she slowly back away. I ran over to her, picked her up and flung her over my shoulder. A loud eruption of laughter escaped her mouth as she screamed for me to put her down.
I gently placed her on the couch and kissed her.
" i'm sorry " I said. She looked up at me with her sparkling eyes and just as she was about to say something the door bell rang .
I slowly and quietly made my way to the front door, I checked through the pep hole.
