OK - I've finally got round to it. The first two parts of my story are ready and now posted, and I'm hard at work at the rest. Please do take a look and let me know what you think - all constructive comments of whatever nature are very much appreciated...
I've settled on The Infernal Aether as a title. As I said in my previous post, I've had a few sparks of inspiration in relation to the backstory and the old nineteenth century (and before) favourite, the luminiferous aether (or at least my take on it) has become more and more prominent in the story. It seemed right therefore to chuck that front and centre in the title. Not to mention the fact that I couldn't convince myself that "N'yotsu" should be in the title - while I like the name, I think it might be too much of a mouthful / turnoff to prospective readers.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the first parts. I'll keep you updated here of any changes which come out of the whole editing process, while making sure I chuck up more parts as regularly as possible.
