As D L Mackenzie said in his latest post, "Stirring the Pot" (http://www.wattpad.com/19368628-editing-mister-d-stirring-the-pot-creating#.UdAvnJymUng), I now have a skeleton which holds together really nicely. It is now a collection of seven short stories plus a final part which I see as being more of a novella in length. Importantly, there is a story arc there which flows through all the parts, leading up to a big set-piece ending.
I've also pulled together some backstory and logic to the universe, with a particular focus on my own take on that 19th Century favourite, the Aether.
This means I am now back into the serious business of writing and am currently pulling together the first story, which for the moment is going by the name of "Milly and the Ghost". On the suggesion of D L Mackenzie I am writing this from the first person perspective, using the character Augustus Potts as my voice.
I'm planning to get more substantive updates up as soon as possible - I'm particularly keen to get the stories out there and see what people think of them!
