I need to wake up soon. I want to tell Charlie how I feel about him. He needs to know. Maybe he feels the same way about me. Come on Meryl, wake up. Maybe if I really try....
I woke up. I did it. My mom was crying while the nurses were checking to make sure I was alright. I looked around and the person I really wanted to see wasn't there. My heart sunk. Where was Charlie? I really wanted him to be here when I woke up so I could tell him how I feel.
I asked my mom "Where is Charlie?" She looked down before looking back up at me. She said "While you were in a coma, Tanith was shot. They found out that the shooter was Maks. As soon as Charlie found out this news, he rushed to go to visit her. I'm sorry Meryl. I know how much you wanted him to be here when you woke up. He should be back soon I think."
As soon as she said that, Charlie came rushing in. "Meryl!" he exclaimed before giving me a quick hug. "I am so happy that you are awake! I have missed you so much!" he said. "Really did you? Because I was really hoping that when I woke up you would be here but you really don't care do you. I was going to tell you how I really like you but I guess you are too busy with Tanith now." I turned and faced the other way so I would not have to look at him. "Meryl, I am so sorry I didn't mean----" "Just go away Charlie" I said harshly. He then gave me one last little hug before walking out of my hospital room with his head hung low. I then felt tired and decided to take a quick nap.
