Thalia's POV (bet you didn't really expect that!)

April stood still like a statue,thinking of excuses,probably.

"I have been to um... L.A?" She suggested.

"You do know that Clarisse is going to kill you,right?" I raised an eyebrow.

April shrugged. "How could I not? She was my best friend."

Kelp Head then ran in and hid behind me.

I rolled my eyes at him. The Hero of Olympus. Scared of a girl. Nothing new there.

Clarisse walked in over to April,with scowl sketched on her face.

She (Clarisse) crossed her arms. "So. April Thetis Cockraine. Where have you been?"

Huh. I never heard April's full name before. Thetis. Sounds familiar. Is she a titan or a nymph? Can't remember.

April smiled sweetly and nervously at Clarisse. "Hi Clary. How's life? I've just been around. You know,L.A,Paris,Greece."

Wait a dam minute. Clary? April just called Clarisse La Rue Clary. She's probably going to die.

"You're going to die." Percy muttered quietly from behind me.

See? Even Kelp Head agrees with me.

Then the weirdest thing happened. Clarisse hugged April.

I just stood there,jaw open.

"Just don't go missing again." Clarisse said,muffled.

April smirked. "That I can't promise you."

Clarisse's POV

"Well,that's reassuring." I muttered.

She shrugged. "I like disappearing."

That wasn't really true but yeah. She's always been dramatic. Even when I first met her 11 years ago. I first met her on the way to camp.

-flashback- (I know,another flashback. Just go along with it.)

I deflected the Cyclops's club with my first spear.

It tried to attack me again and I deflected it again. Dad would not be pleased.

I heard a whizzing noise and saw a silver arrow lodge itself in the Cyclops's head. It burst into dust.

A small sized girl came into sight. She had raven black hair in a French braid and sky blue eyes. She wore a silver T-shirt and black leggings. She had a small slingbag and a silver bow in her hand.

She strode forward confidently. "Hi,my name is April Cockraine. What's yours?"

I eyed her suspiciously. "Are you a demigod?"

She nodded. "Yes."

"My name is Clarisse La Rue..." I said hesitantly.

"Hi Clarrise. I'm 9."

I nodded. "I'm 12."

"Are you going to camp?" She asked curiously.

"I am."

"Can I go with you? Please?" She put on puppy dog eyes.

I couldn't resist them. "Sure. Why not?"

-timeskip in the flashback-

I stood on top of a hill. Down there,there were cabins arranged in a-U shape. Though I had a feeling I should go to the big house down there.

"Hey Clary." April drawled and stood behind me.

"Clarisse." I corrected her.

She appeared beside me. "I guess we go down there?" She pointed to the big house.

I shrugged. "Do we even know if this is a good idea?"

"Don't know,don't care. But from the demigods playing volleyball I think it is Camp Half-Blood." She sheathed her dagger.

I looked down at the ground. "April,I'm a daughter of Ares."

She looked at me questioningly. "So?"

I blinked. "You said you hated Ares children."

She grinned. "Not you. Just can we be friends?"

I hugged her. "Best friends."

-flashback over-

"Clarisse?" Somebody shook me.

"What?" I blinked.

"You zoned out for a minute there."

"Sorry."

I noticed Thalia was still gaping at the both of us.

"Close your mouth,you'll get flies." I sneered at her.

To April,I said,"Where's Kelp Head?"

She shook her head. "Not gonna tell you. I don't need a dead friend."

I spotted Percy leaning on the doorway.

"Hey Prissy."

He looked scared and backed away a bit.

"Relax,I'm not going to do anything. Look,I want to-"

BOOM!

Something exploded on my right.

I felt blood running down the side of my head.

The last thing I saw was April unsheathing a sword before I couldn't see anything anymore.
