Recap

. The one thing I wanted to know was if Tommy and Kalin were the same could they change too. Of course I knew the answer that they could but I don't think Megan had thought about that. I had heard her thoughts just now and almost laughed I had sort have seen her dream through my head. I would have to be careful what I was dreaming from now on and maybe not mention anything about it to Megan I bet she was feeling a little embarrassed about it already.

We headed back to the house. I knew my sister was now awake. We had a lot to sit and listen too. I hope she was as ready for this as I was.

Chapter 11

Megan's POV

I walked down the stairs. I loved them they were huge. They sort of sloped down and twisted. I always thought it was a dream that I had come here. I really did feel like I belonged here though does that make sense. I had had fun this morning with the boys I felt as normal as I could at that point. I really, really liked Kalin he was my ideal man. It sounds strange but I don't think I would ever be able to resist him. The sparks I had felt when he grabbed me took my breath away. I could not help but feel embarrassed around him.

We almost reached the bottom had I forgotten to mention that he and Tommy were also walking down with me, I was too deep in thought I almost tripped. Luckily for me I had a hand reach out and grab me before I really hurt myself. I heard a snigger. "Tommy that was not funny do not laugh at me, I could have hurt myself." "well if somebody wasn't day dreaming then maybe you could see where you were going, I know what you were thinking about its so obvious." "I........" "Leave her alone she is just worried about hearing the rest of what everybody says aren't you Meg." "Yes that's it." I said thankful. He smiled at me. I could have melted. "Yeah right, you forget I know you and your sister pretty well Megan." "They you also know that I know you well too and it may be oblivious to the one person you want it to be clear too, I know how you look at her I have seen you. Why don't you get over yourself and tell her, instead of looking like a lovesick puppy." "Hey that was not very nice. You know I don't want to push anything and maybe you both should listen to what your grandparents have to say before we do anything. You both have a lot to learn." With that he walked away. "Someone is in a foul mood I heard somebody familiar say." "Sorry Katie he is ok. He is just eager to listen too what everybody says." Kalin said. He put his hand on my back. Aww he was so sweet. Katie walked over to him and smiled. She mouthed are you ok to him. He smiled back and they both sat down. "He deserved that really, he just has such strong feelings and tries to hide them. He just did not expect you to know. Not many do but the person he wants, Katie she really has no idea how much she means to him." Kalin whispered in my ear. "I know but she likes him too she just wont admit it. They are both as stubborn as each other." He nodded and we both walked in and sat down. I guess the talk was about to start. I had better get comfortable this could take a while. What more could they tell us.

Katie's POV

I knew something had happened between Megan and Tommy but I wasn't going to push this they both could sort it out themselves I just needed to know that Tommy was ok. I walked over to him. Are you ok I mouthed. He nodded to me and touched my hand ever so slightly wow, I felt it. It shocked me so much that I pulled away. What was that I almost said. But I didn't. It was time to hear what my family had to say. Wow that sounded good I had a family. I sat next to Tommy on the settee and leaned back. He was so close to me and I liked it.

"If everybody is ready, do you want me to start." My grandfather looked around as he said it.

Everybody was. My grand father was shaking a little but I guess that was also old age showing.

"Well then, I will start. As you know your mother and father girls were very important to us all. I loved them with all my heart. I would have pained them to know what has had to happen to keep you out of the spotlight and safe. Do you girls know that the people who killed your parents also think they killed the two of you too."

Now that was a shock. But why would we know that we were so young. "Then if they think that why could we not stay with you and live happily." Megan said. My sister was back.

"Megan we tried that remember. We wanted you with us but they got wind of it and we had to send you away. You don't know what it was like. Thankfully the day we sent you was the day they came to see if it was true. They didn't find you. They can never find you.

"Who are they." I said "I think we deserved to know and why are we so important."

"You too are their daughters twins are especially important. You are the two parts of a whole together you are both strong. You may both be different but together you are perfect." Our grandmother said. "Sit down now Joe, Why don't you let me take over you need to rest." "Ok dear, I will." With that he sat down and took a long drink of what I could only assume was whiskey.

"We don't know exactly how to describe them dears. They only way I can is that they are hunters. They want things from the special ones of us. Your parents were the most special. They were our leaders. We had to lie to the pair of you about certain things because you were so important." "If they were your leaders and they died, who is in charge now." I said. Then it hit me we were important because we were meant to take over.

Here I was worrying if Tommy and Kalin were horses too and I have not even begun to think that we could be too. Wow this is really something. Megan must have heard my thoughts because she jumped up.

"No she said, this can't be true do you really believe that Katie." She had anger in her voice. Everybody in the room looked as shocked as I was at her sudden outburst. "There is no way. I don't believe it and Kalin isn't is he." She looked at him and all realisation hit her. It looked like she was going into shock.

"Megan." I said looking at her "Are you ok. I know this is hard to take in but it all makes sense. Look at me." I said. She did. She had tears in her eyes.
