The Funeral

Danny asked if I could come to his mother's funeral. I of course said yes. I wanted to be there. I couldn't let him and his family go through that alone. I needed to be there. And so I went. I saw them all in dark and gloomy clothing. I was wearing a black dress. I brought white roses , which I remember that Danny told me they were his mother's favorite. Patrick (his father) looked at me with depressed eyes and said ,"Thank you so much for coming and thank you for the roses." He said with a voice I hadn't heard in a long time. He smiled but I was not convinced that that the smile he put on was truly real.
I nodded as a sign of  respect for I didn't know what to say. I walk to Danny and his sister, Lauren, they crying. I quickly comfort Lauren, knowing that Danny would be ok...for now. Then I gave Danny I hug...a hug that meant that I love him. I was planning on telling him that not only to make him feel better but so that he knows that I will be there for him. I never felt love towards anyone and I don't think I will never again...
