Sit forsaken, silently brood
The motel dank and dim
Mumble why you're in this mood
Light bulbs lidded with flim
Had nothing to eat,
So he retreats,
Under the blankets yet again.

His pale knuckles were painted red
Like in Wonderland
Thinking of the words she said
Left with an aching hand
And a blood stained wall,
He starts to crawl,
Desultory to his old home.

Ice clinks in his clean soda can
Before crashing down
Whispering loudly, he ran
Through his wintery town
Snowflakes burn his skin,
Angels in sin,
In the bliss of a kiss, he drowns.
