Abuse from the sky
It rains down like ice
Shards of glass splitting my heart
The hardest of all is being apart
Truths left unsaid
Leaving bittersweet contempt
Distance evaporating trust
Love impaired by lust
Battling for what we know is real
Secrets of guilt to conceal
Forgiveness desired for your lies
Regret when hearing my melancholic cries
Apologies like a broken record
Not knowing how to move forward
Overwhelming calls over spoken dread
A love once bound, now lays dead
