Chapter 7

Ryan's P.O.V.

How adorable.She would get whatever her heart desired, and though it was going to be hard to restrain from touching her,I was going to keep my promise. She deserved to be courted bye her mate, and to be romanced. And I was the only male that would from here on out to ever court her! She is mine and I was glad when she said that she knew that she was my mate, it meant that she knew that she was mine! She knew that I am her man, her mate, her one and only!  But, there was a part of me, the player part, asking me how I was going to not touch other girls in the meantime. That answer was simple, I found my mate  and there was never going to be another woman for me ever again.

Though, what she also had to understand was that, I was the Alpha which means our bonding would be twice as strong. It means that if she so much as looks at another guy I would go beserk. I needed her to know that, she is 100% mine. I will court her and be patient with her, but I will not tolerate another male. Unless it's family but if not, then he will perish at my hand and I will do so without mercy.And in order for me to have her near at all times, she would have to move to the pack's village. Damn! She wasn't officially part of the pack, her mother and her and my permission to be here, but she wasn't a pack member yet. All that will change tonight!

 I will officially iniciate her and her mother into the pack. The only set back is, is that I cannot see her until tonight, tradition declares that the beta must invite newcomers to the celebration and I must mentally prepare to let them in. I will send Andrew, my beta to do so after school.She will soon be in close quarters all the time.

When they join my pack I will  give them the nicest house in the village. That is until she is my full mate, then she will live with me and sleep in my chambers. I only hope her mother would not be lonely. I knew all about how her heartbroken mother and hope that perhaps she can grow a friendship within the pack and not be lonely. I can only tell that her mother's loneliness bothered Melissa. And I wanted the best for Melissa and the people she cared about.

With that thought, I knew that I was a new person, this morning, I wouldn't have cared that much about another person, but with my mate in my life, I did care. I cared about other people. I cared that my mother was lonely but happy with her 'boyfriend'. I cared that Andrew still hadn't found his mate and that that was worrying him. I cared. And I had only my mate to thank for that.

Melissa's POV

The rest of the day passed the same, people asked me questions about Ryan and I. I asked them what they were reffuring to, and they would look away embarassed. I smiled triumphantly every time, I was a little frustrated that people kept asking as though it any of there business! But the day finally came to an end. I was rushing to my car, wanting to escape everyone's questions when Carter caught up with me during my rush to the parking lot.

"So, you said you'd tell me after school. And I hate to pry and everything but... I just gotta. I need a distraction from what I saw today from my ex-boyfriend so please.....? Can I know? " She begged. I sighed, feeling frustrated yet kind of amused. As much as all the questions about us was really bothering me, I didn't want to ruin my new found friendship with Carter.

"Alright, we're mates! But I told him after he made a move on me for the second time today, that I wanted to be courted and he agreed so.... I think we're dating." I said, hesitantly at the end, not quite sure. She looked around briefly, then started clapping and jumping up and down like a crazy person.

"Carter, Carter! Please stop! I don't want people to know ok. I'm the new girl I get enough unwated attention I don't want the added attention that I'm mates with your Alpha ok? Promise me you won't tell anyone?" She smiled from ear to ear, still giddy , but nodded.
