Levy's POV

I woke up to a knocking on my door. "Levy are you in?"

"Huh?" I moaned. "Mira? Izzat you?"

"Yes, can you open the door?"

"Yeah, just lemme..." I stretched with a yawn. Suddenly, I choked. I had spotted a black-haired figure still curled in a corner and all the memories of last night came flooding back. I blushed furiously and tried to think of something.

There was some shuffling outside my door. "Levy, are you okay?"

"Yeah, just lemme change real quick." Pulling my ruined shirt around my shoulders like a cape, I hurried over to my dresser and slid on a new sleeping shirt.

"You don't have to change, dear. I've seen you in your pajamas before." Mira giggled.

"R-right." I pulled a bathrobe around me and walked over to the door. I unlocked it and pulled open just wide enough that only I could be seen. Gajeel was partially hidden by a stack of books anyway, but it was best to play it safe, especially around Mira. "What did you need me for?" I asked.

"Well, we need to search your room?"

"My room? Why?" Oh no, oh no!

"You know Gajeel escaped." I nodded. "We kept watch, but we didn't see him. We thought maybe he had holed up in his apartment."

"Oh...um, so why do you need-"

"Until we found the machinery in the boiler room with bites taken out of it." Mira cut me off grimly. You idiot! You're just as bad as Natsu when it comes to your stomach! "On top of that," she continued. "We found Cana slumped in front of your door."

"...Wasn't she guarding me?"

"Yes, but her barrel was full. She was knocked unconscious, not passed out."

My eyes widened in genuine surprise. "I thought she was just drunk again." I mumbled.

"Understandable." Mira agreed. "But this," she reached over and pulled the bathrobe to the side, revealing a small red mark on my collarbone. I blushed a darker red than Erza's hair. "Is the final proof that he's here." She finished. I didn't even bother trying to deny it. I'm a very bad liar under normal circumstances.

"Is he in there?" I nodded, looking down. "Did he hurt you?"

"That's not what I expected to hear." I gave a little laugh in spite of myself. "Who are you and what have you done with Mira the Matchmaker?"

"Believe me, I will be very thoroughly celebrating this later, but now's not the time. Did he hurt you?" She repeated.

I shook my head. "No, we were just kissing and...stuff and um, I just went along with it..." I started twisting the hem of my bathrobe. "I-It just felt...right, you know?"

"You don't have to defend yourself to me, Levy-chan. It's supposed to feel good. That's what mating season's about." Mira said gently. I felt grateful that she understood. "So, did you do it?" A little of her normal expression had seeped onto her otherwise serious face.

"N-no, um, when he tried to take off my u-underwear, I panicked and curled into a ball. When he started tugging on my arms, I panicked even more and started to tear up."

"Oh my. How did he take that?"

"He completely freaked out. He just pulled me into a hug and started shaking. He kept holding tighter and tighter and I made this little noise and he jumped. Then he put me down, ran across the room, and curled in a ball in the corner. He wouldn't look at me and moved away when I touched him."
