A Cold and Sullen Breeze

©2015, Olan L. Smith

A cold and sullen breeze will chill a heart,

Achlys, her mist upon our shied, apart

Dejected souls are thrashed by avid fate.

Who knocks upon the door of hope so late?

A cold and sullen breeze.

We are miserable souls unable to depart

Our tears have blocked our passage from the start

Foretold, written in stone upon the gate,

A cold and sullen Breeze.

Escape! To dry our tears, erase our chart

And clear the mist from farthest hinder part

Do not return to make Achlys our mate

The Goddess core is misery and hate,

And here we stand upon a harden heart―

A cold and sullen breeze.
