MYSTERY POV:
Sunday. My supposedly rest day. Usually I wake at 8:00am but I woke up an hour early since my phone keeps on buzzing. I found out that it’s my father at inutusan ako para makipaglunch meeting sa isang investor, apparently nagkaroon daw ng isang aberya sa isang hotel project nya sa Palawan and he must take a flight to get there as soon as possible but he can’t cancel his previous schedule since about daw ‘to sa isang investment meeting.
Obviously, he can’t afford to lose an investment dahil money involve nanaman ‘to. Ang mukhang pera kong ama nga naman.. -___-“
As soon as the call ended tumayo narin ako at nag-ayos, after bumaba narin ako. And as usual, si Krys ang naabutan ko sa living room reading some novel. Krys is always an early riser and books ang una niyang pinagtutuunan ng pansin.
Agad naman niyang sinara ang hawak niyang libro ng nakaupo na ako sa may gilid niya. Ako lang ang may kayang makapagdivert ng attention niya from reading.
“hmmm, you’re up a little early from the usual Sunday.” She commented habang tinatabi sa coffee table ang hawak niyang libro.
“an unexpected meeting came up.” Simleng sagot ko, medyo inaantok pa kasi ako and tired from yesterday.
“I see.” I saw her nodded “I’ve already prepared our breakfast. You can eat here before you go.”
“thanks, anyways sandali lang naman ata yun babalik din ako agad but I won’t eat here at lunch since lunch meeting yun.” I said informing her para alam niya yung amount ng lulutuin later.
“you know, company niyo lang ang alam ko na nagheheld ng meetings even though it’s Sunday, isn’t supposed to be a rest day?” I just shrug at her, I didn’t bother to answer it since alam ko naman na she just blurt it out and walang balak na makuha ang sagot niya.
