 "Sometimes getting lost helps."

 Lights

 The day's colors fade away,

as I look up to the skies.

The solitary winds sweep through me,

 bringing me back to life.

 With every little sweet step,

 and every little happenstance,

 I see it come alive.

So when the day's colors fade away,

I look up to the skies.

I brush the dust off my jacket,

and walk away from the alleys.

Shadows grow and yet I smile,

because the day's colors fade away.

 A stranger walks, passing by,

and for a moment I see him smile,

 I stop, unsure,

and finally I flash a smile.

In a city full of so many strangers,

in a day that lulls itself to sleep,

the skylight shines with city lights,

so I smile when I look up to the skies.

 I'm lost in a city

 with so many bright lights,

 the shadows keep growing

but I won't say good night.

 The day's colors seep away,

 the darkened skies come alive.

I am lost but I am happy,

 I am finally content,

 so smiling with wide eyes,

I look up to the skies.

 I'm lost in a city

and all I see are the lights,

 the strangers keep walking,

 not noticing my light.

 The day's colors seep away,

the morning gives way to night,

I am lost but I am happy,

I am lost but so alive.

 A city full of strangers

 I hear it say goodnight.

The city lights are drowning me

and I wish I could say goodbye,

because the stars point me back

to a morning so full of light.

I am lost but I am happy,

 I am finally content,

but as the night's colors fade away,

I smile up to the skies.
