Unintentional wounds
It ends too soon
This fragile heart
Made of glass
Has shattered into pieces
And now im crying
And im bleeding
invisible tears
Stuck in the midst of my fears
Mouth taped shut
Eyes wide open
Ears hear everything,
I am so broken.
I pray to God for another chance
To prove to you im worth it
But as I look at cold dead hands
I know I have no proof.
You burned me with your fire,
made me just want more
Then stabbed my heart
And left me there
Writhing on the floor.
I know you didn't mean it but
Your blade, it went straight through
So now im gasping for a breath of air
And longing after you.
You told me many times before
You didn't like to see me hurt
So I don't want you to look and see
That you're hurting me the worst.
So close your eyes
Block your ears
Ignore me as I scream your name throughout the tears
Don't feel the blade plunge into me
Don't watch me as I writhe and bleed
Don't reach out your hand for don't you see
My blood covered hands will just corrupt your beauty
I know you didn't mean this
But your blade, it went straight through me
So now I'm gasping for a breath of air,
Knowing I won't find one here
A broken heart
A damaged soul
Yet still, I'm longing after you..
