Punctuation. We all struggle with it (some more than others--looks pointedly at the critique feed). So, I was searching for some resources for you folks and came accross this lovely site (note my high British accent there).

Welcome to the most comprehensive punctuation resource on the web. This site is primarily designed for writers of novel-length fiction and nonfiction.

Why does this matter?

Well, the annoying truth is that some punctuation "rules" are really only style choices. Depending on what you're writing (manuscript, technical article, legal document, news story), there are different styles of punctuation. The variations are slight, but can be significant, especially to your editor.

This site, being geared toward novel-length writing, is based on the Chicago Manual of Style. These punctuation guidelines should be appropriate for most general writing, except technical or legal.

In the next few chapters I will feature an article or two from this site seeing that I know SOME of you folks aint ever goin' there (it's a western accent now....yes, even I am confused).
