"How you feeling?"

"Good. I'm just ready to go out there."

I answered dad. He smiled.

"All done love."

I looked at the braids mum did to my hair.

"Thank you mum."

There was a knock on the door and Parker walked in.

"How you feeling kid?"

"On fire."

I said tapping my hands. He smiled.

"Well extinguish yourself."

I smiled and sat down.

"What's up?"

"What are you gonna do about the striker incident last night."

"I got something else in mind."

"As in?"

"As in I'm no longer using the striker. I have something else."

"You're lying right?"

Jacey said.

"Nope."

"I need water I think I'm gonna faint."

She said picking up my water bottle.

"Don't be such a drama queen."

I said grabbing my gloves.

"Jesse you've been using the striker for 11 years. How can you just retire it?"

"Look I know what I saw last night. She gonna try and pull it on me. I got something."

They both nodded.

"Okay. Fine. Retiring the striker. Even if this is a match that is very important."

"Parker."

"I'm serious. The entire boxing board is here."

"And. I know what I'm doing."

I said putting my headphones on. I found something to pump me up. I picked up the gloves and looked at dad. He was starring right at them. I went over handing them to him.

"You mind?"

He smiled grabbing the gloves. He put them on me and camera flashes kept going off.

"Really?"

I said looking over at mum, grandma, and Jacey.

"Get over it."

Jacey said and I rolled my eyes.

"We should go get in our seats before the match starts."

Mum said. They all pulled me in a group hug and the flashes went off again. We all pulled away and Parker had Jacey's phone.

"She told me too."

He said holding up his hands. I just shook my head.

"Good luck sweetheart."

Grandma said hugging me. I hugged her back.

"I know you're gonna be amazing."

I smiled. There was a knock on the door and Ben walked in.

"Sorry is this a bad time?"

"Nope come in."

He slowly walked in.

"Um grandma this is Ben, Ben this is my grandmother Patricia."

"Nice to meet you."

He said holding out his hand.
