"Where are you going?"

Dad asked as I was curling my hair in my mirror.

"Out with Ben."

"Where?"

"He's taking me out to dinner."

"What time will you be back?"

"I don't know. "

I finished and put on some chapstick and then some lip gloss. I stood up and got my leather jacket.

"You're wearing that?"

"What's wrong with it?"

"It's to short."

"No it isn't. "

"Melanie!"

Dad yelled and mum came upstairs.

"What's going on?"

"Does her skirt not look to short?"

"It does a little bit."

"Come on it's a high-waist skirt. I've worn it plenty of other times and now all of a sudden it's to short."

I said putting on my jacket and got my bag. I put my phone, money, chapstick, and keys in it. I zipped it up and put it on. I got my perfume and sprayed it on me. The doorbell rung.

"Now excuse me my date is here."

"Not so fast."

Dad said walking downstairs. I followed behind him. He opened the door and Ben stood there with Dean and Seth right behind him.

"Really!"

I said.

"We met your boyfriend Jess he's a good kid."

Dean said as they walked in. Ben just stood there.

"We're leaving."

I said walking out. I grabbed Ben's hand and walked down the stairs.

"I'm sorry about them."

"It's okay. You look beautiful. "

"Thank you."

I blushed. He quickly pecked my lips. He opened the car door for me and I got in. He got in on his side starting it.

"They didn't do anything to you did they?"

"No. Just a bunch of questions, threats, punches to the arm, and what happens if I did something to you."

"I'm really sorry. "

"No it's okay. If I had a daughter as beautiful as you I would do the same thing."

"So you want kids?"

"I mean yeah what about you? You're so good with Brody."

"I don't know. I haven't thought about it. I just live with the moment."

He nodded.

"So what restaurant are we going to?"

"Actually we're not going to a restaurant. "

"Um okay."

He pulled up to what seemed like a clearing and it was decorated.

"Ben!"

"I know you don't like public eye so I thought about this.

"Where did you find this place?"

"You know how my dad owns all those acres and sales them?"
