Chapter 2: The First Meeting
Garcia's POV
Four hours later, here I was, just minutes away from entering the BAU for my first day on the job. I was so nervous. So many thoughts were running through my head, "Am I even qualified for this type of job?" "Well my co-workers think I'm weird?" All of these questions were about to be answered.
The walk into the BAU was one of the longest I've ever had. I had never experienced this type of emotion before, I was flip flopping between being extremely nervous to really really excited. When I finally reached the lobby of the BAU, I asked the secretary where the office of the Unit Chief was, she directed me down a hallway to the right of the desk.
I peered into the office. "Agent Hotchner?
Agent Hotchner looked up from his desk. "Can I help you?" He asked
"Yes, Hi I'm Penelope Garcia, I'm here to start my first day as the new Technical Analyst" I replied
"Oh yes, hi Ms. Garcia, welcome aboard, let me show you around" Agent Hotchner said
"Thank- you agent Hotchner" I said
"Please call me Hotch, everyone around here calls me Hotch" encouraged Hotch
"Alrighty then Hotch" I said
"That's more like it! Let me show you around" Hotch said
I then had a tour of the building. Hotch then finally led me to what he called the Conference Room. There I met the rest of my new co-workers
"Everyone this is Penelope Garcia, she's the new Technical Analyst here at the BAU. Come say hello" Hotch informed
" Dr. Spencer Reid, pleased to make your acquaintance" Reid said friendly
"I'm Jennifer Jareau but you can call me JJ, I'm the communications liasion here at the BAU, anything you need comes to me" JJ said happily
"Good to know" I said
"I'm Emily Prentiss, everyone around here calls me Prentiss, we call each other by our last names, well everyone that is except for JJ. I guess we'll be looking to you for information on any upcoming "unsubs" we encounter" Prentiss said
"What's an Unsub?" I asked questioningly
"An Unsub is an Unknown Subject basically that's what we call any person or persons were looking for that have caused some kind of crime" a male voice interjected " Hi I'm Agent Rossi"
"Let me guess, I can call you Rossi" I said jokingly
"Haha yea you guessed it" Rossi said laughing
"Well hello there gorgeous! The names Morgan. Derek Morgan." Morgan said flirtingly
"Well then, that's everyone, including the big flirt of the group, were trying to get him to quit it, but it's kinda hard" explained Hotch glaring at Morgan unhappily
"I don't know how he could stop with such a....... Reid said stopping in mid sentence
"Shut up Reid, I can stop any day I want" said Morgan
"Ouhh, better look out Garcia, you got two guys fighting over you, on your first day, your in for a long week with these two." said JJ
"We're not fighting over anyone" replied Morgan and Reid
"Come on Garcia, let me show you to your new office" requested Hotch
My new office was one of the biggest in the building, considering it has the most computer screens in it for looking up stuff
"What'd you think of your new office gorgeous?" Morgan peeked his head in the door and asked
"I love it! It's so big and spacious!" I beamed
"Glad you like it! Well I must jet, hope you enjoy your new job! I'll be in touch with you for info on any new cases!" said Morgan
Once Morgan left I kept thinking to myself that it was quite obvious that he liked me, and boy did I like him
Morgan's POV
"Hey Reid, got a minute kid?" I asked
"Sure thing Morgan, what's up?" Reid replied
That's the thing I like about Reid he's always there to lend a helping ear
"What do you think about the new girl, Garcia?
"I think she's kinda cool, she's really good with gadgets and computers" beamed Reid
"Thanks Reid" I said
I'm really starting to think that I like this girl
