“I know.” I said quietly back. I turned around to see the pleading look in his eyes.

“Let’s take a walk.” He suggested. I looked to the living room to see that Colby and Bradley were still passed out. “Yeah, sure just let me go shower real quick and change.” He just nodded and headed to Ty’s room to take a shower as well.

I took a quick shower washing my hair I just let it fall into its natural waves and put on a pair blue jean shorts pared with a tank and my grey converse.

Heading out to the living room once again I saw that Colby and Bradley were in the kitchen talking to the rest of the guys. Bradley shot Jacob daggers and Jake just shrugged.

“Sam, I’m going for a walk.” I said to her as I grabbed Jacob’s arm and pulled him to the door. “Have fun.” Sam said sarcastically. She hated Jacob. Like I mean hated. It was kind of funny.

I had moved on and she still hadn’t I thought at one point that she was going to murder the guy. I’m kind of shocked she didn’t. She drew sketches of it though, which as even funnier because she was a crappy artist so it was mostly stick people being pushed off a cliff.

Jake had put on a T-shirt along with a pair of basketball shorts and flips flops.

We made it out the door and headed down the driveway I looked at him waiting for him to speak. His jaw clenched in thought he knew I was looking at him, but he kept his head forward letting the wind blow in his perfect hair making him sexier than usual.

“Lee, I really do care about you, and I really just want you in my life again. Things just aren’t the same without you. Just take me back please? Even just as a friend I just want my best friend back.” He turned his head to me and looked at me as we kept walking on the sidewalk.

“Thank God you had enough balls to say that because I’ve been thinking the same exact thing for fast few days.” I said smiling up at him. There he was, there was Jacob Cooper.

Finally.

I jumped on him wrapping my arms around him in a bear hug. I felt his smile against my hair as he lifted me up and spun me around. He put me down to see the big grin on my face. His face spread into a big grin.

A sincerely happy smile not that stupid cocky smirk he sported at school. “Best friends?” He asked hopefully.

“Best friends.” I said as we began to walk in step with each other. “Race ya to the park.” I called out as I began to sprint to the park. I had a few second start on his so I wasn’t shocked when I heard his footsteps close behind mine. He was crazy fast on his feet, that’s why he was one great running back and basketball player.

Somehow he picked me up on his back without slowing down. I smiled wide as he continued to sprint with me on his back. “You’re not going Fredward Cullen on me are you?” I asked jokingly in his ear.

You broke my heart. Now you want me back?Where stories live. Discover now
