I looked at the most repulsive creature I have ever set eyes on. I can’t even describe it no matter how hard I tried. I saw the creature smile or I think he was, at me as he raised a bloodied sword and placed it on my neck.
“ who are you?”
I asked in a whisper, sneaking looks at kristy in front of me. She was paler than a minute ago and that scared me. I had to do something. The creature was talking but I didn’t hear anything. All I heard was a whisper carried by the wind. I saw the creature kneeling down next to me while still talking but he was blurry. I started to feel dizzy and faint as he got closer to me. I had to stay awake. I had to save kristy….
“ you know, they all said that we will not find you but we did, yes we did…”
The group with him started laughing in a way that made my skin crawl.
“ up, get up Arianne, feel my power…” I heard the voice whisper. I looked around but didn’t see anything until I saw the light next to the tree. The figure of a man, the man from my dreams standing there. He was looking at the group holding us hostage with hate-filled glares.
I started to feel stronger just looking at him and knew that I can take them down. I had to do it for my parents, for kristy. I started to get up as the creature looked at me with wonder in his eyes, but that didn’t last long as he regained his composure and swung the sword at me. I ducked hitting his face with my elbow breaking his nose. He cried out in pain giving me a chance to grasp the sword from his hand and with one swift move beheading him.
I looked at what I have done with wonder. I never really held a sword before but here i have just beheaded this…thing. Its blood was black, oozing from the headless body down into the steps. The rest of the group looked at me with fear in their eyes as I saw a white light erupt from my body, knocking all of them down. I felt power, power like never before. I walked towards kristy knowing that I can help her. I placed my hands on her back and closed my eyes…..
“lily”
I heard the faint whisper of my name as I started to get around. I opened my eyes and saw kristy looking down at me with tears in her eyes. She looked scared and kristy never looked like that before. I tried to ask her what’s wrong but my throat was so rasp.
“here” she held a cup to my mouth as I drank. I sighed as I looked at her again.
“ what’s wrong kristy? Why are you crying?” I asked as I tried to turn my head to look around. I was in kristy’s room that much I can make out from all the posters. I was also in her bed.
“ you saved me” that’s all that she said as she hugged me and started to fully weep on my shoulder. I saved her, what she talking about? I tried to remember anything but find nothing out of the ordinary. I found out the truth from my parents, locked myself in my room, went to school with kristy and then walked back home….
I grasp my head as pain shoots through. I shout out in pain as I see a white light and blood. That’s all blood, black blood on the steps to my house. The more I try to remember the more pain shoots through my head and body. Kristy holds me, soothing me, telling me to stop trying to remember the events of last week…

“kristy what..”
I didn’t finish my sentence as I saw a figure warped in a cloak walk into the room. She was beautiful, no that was an understatement. She was stunning. She had long blond hair that seemed to be blowing from the wind though there was not a single drop of wind in the air. She looked at me with a smile gracing her lips. She moved to sit next to me on the bed as kristy moved a little further down the bed. I didn’t know what to say as my mind went blank by just looking at her. I felt that I knew her from somewhere, like an old memory or something.
